Enamel Pin Grade Guide

StormWhisper™ enamel pins come in two grade types: Standard (A-Grade) and Seconds (B-Grade). This shop DOES NOT offer any Collector Grade pins, but I do my best to ensure the highest quality for my Standard pins. Keep in mind that enamel pins are still handmade items, which have imperfections that inevitable with the process that is used to make the pins. 

STANDARD (A-Grade)

Standard (A-Grade) pins are my highest quality pins from their production batch. The pins may contain some small imperfections that are not easily noticeable. Imperfections may include but not limited to:

• Tiny specs, bubbles, or pores
• Small scuffs on the metal/enamel
• Minor low or under fill enamel
• Minor scratches
• Minor discoloration on metal 

SECONDS (B-Grade)

Seconds (or B-Grade) pins contain more noticeable flaws and are sold at a discount as they didn't make the cut. Some flaws are more obvious than others, but these pins are still wearable on denim jackets, outerwear, backpacks, gym bags, ball caps, and more!

These flaws may include but are not limited to:

• Major under-filled or overfilled enamel
• Missing enamel
• Discoloration and/or staining
• Deeper scuffs and bigger scratches on the enamel/metal
• Bent post needle
